One Great Hour of Sharing Offering: On Easter Sunday, April 1, we will be receiving the One Great Hour of Sharing offering. Since 1949, Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians through this special offering to share God’s love with those in need. This offering helps support the work of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Self-Development of People program, and the Presbyterian Hunger Program.
On Easter Sunday, April 1, our UPC family will gather for the Easter Brunch at 9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The Congregational Life Committee and Deacons will co-host this potluck fellowship brunch. Beverages will be provided, and we ask that each member of the congregation bring a breakfast dish to share (quiche, muffins, fruit, etc.). Savory breakfast dishes, as well as fruit, are greatly appreciated. The Easter Brunch takes the place of Second Sunday Lunch in April and will be the last gathering of the program year.
Please remember to label your dishes and serving spoons with your name if you’d like to have them back. Be sure to pick up anything you brought with you following the brunch. If possible, please add a label to your dish specifying allergens to help UPC show hospitality to those with food allergies. Labels such as “gluten free,” “contains peanuts/tree nuts,” or “vegetarian” are helpful for those with allergies and other dietary needs wishing to enjoy food and fellowship at church. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Easter with your church family. All are welcome!
Easter Egg Hunt
On Easter Sunday, April 1, children are invited to gather in Vance Barron Hall at 10:15 a.m. to hear the Easter story followed by an egg hunt on the front lawn as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. This year’s Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by Parents of Young Presbyterians (PYPs). Please join us!
