Our 8th graders had a wonderful weekend in Montreat for our annual Confirmation Retreat. They enjoyed time for fellowship and meals together while examining the forces that keep some “in” and others “out.” We worked with Asheville Poverty Initiative to learn more about the role we all play in putting an end to poverty in our world. We studied scripture and looked to the example of Jesus for guidance on how to make a positive difference in a hurting world.
