Having completed Dunham Hall and blessed Bob and Marla Dunham with a love gift, we are moving toward the completion of our Legacy Campaign.
The final goal of our Legacy Campaign is a gift of $50,000 to Bob’s alma mater, Union Presbyterian Seminary. As Legacy gifts come in and Legacy pledges are paid, we are preparing to be able to present that gift in April of 2019.
Union Presbyterian Seminary’s “core mission is to participate in the mission of the church by forming and equipping leaders for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” UPC has tasted the fruit of that mission. Our own Bob Dunham, Mindy Douglas, Sallie Verner, and Kate Fiedler were trained at Union in Richmond. In September of this year, Nancy Myer will begin work on a Master of Divinity at Union Seminary in Charlotte. With our 2019 gift, it will be our privilege to support the formation of the church’s next generation of leaders.
With approximately eight months to go, there is an outstanding balance of $132,288 against our Legacy pledges. We look forward to celebrating the completion of the entire campaign in April. UPC is an extraordinarily generous church!
