On Saturday, November 12 at 4 pm, UPC will host a very special concert – the first of its kind in collaboration with a university student music group. UPC’s choir and the UNC Baroque ensemble under the direction of Brent Wissick will come together to present J. S. Bach’s Advent cantata, Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland (“Come now, Savior of the heathens”), BWV 61.
Other works by Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, and Dieterich Buxtehude suited for the Advent season will feature the choir, instrumentalists, soloists and organ in music that echo our longing world’s desperate cry for its savior.
This concert is free and open to the public. All are welcome!
