Zoom Safety
ZOOM offers a simple and economical means of online video conferencing, but without proper safeguards, any video conference can be monitored, recorded, disrupted, or otherwise hacked by outside parties. UPC is using ZOOM for group gatherings, and the staff is taking precautions through the church accounts. Links to ZOOM meetings will no longer be posted on the church website or on social media; moving forward, links to gatherings will be shared in congregational emails only. As a participant, one thing you can do is to close all other apps on your device before joining a ZOOM meeting. We encourage caution as we connect online and gather together as the church today.
