Join us on Earth Day for a work day at The Garden at Spring Forest in Hillsborough! Spring Forest is the home and farm of the Community at Spring Forest, a United Methodist new monastic, missional faith community. Their ministries focus on regenerative farming and supporting refugee resettlement.
Work starts around 9 – 9:30am, and you can stay as long as you like (bring a bag lunch if you plan to stay that long). Children are welcome to participate, too. The farm has a trail you can walk along, and sheep and goats to visit. We don’t know the exact work to be done around the garden and farm, but come prepared to get your hands in the dirt!
Sign-ups aren’t required, but we do want to know if you plan on coming so we can keep in touch as the day arrives! We’ll keep you updated with any changes, carpooling options, etc.
CSA Opportunity:
The Earth Care Team is also partnering with Spring Forest to bring farm fresh produce to your home that was grown using regenerative farming techniques that are crucial for the health of our topsoil.
