Appalachia Service Project endeavors to make homes warmer, safer, and drier in rural Appalachia. No construction experience is needed – just a heart for serving others and a desire to learn. We are divided into work crews of 7 people and travel in vans to our ASP center. We’ll make our home for the week on air mattresses in gyms, schools, or community centers. Each day, each work crew will head out for their home where they will serve for the week. You’ll do home repair but more importantly, you’ll get to know the homeowners, their stories, and make a real connection as you share God’s love.
UPC church members and active youth group participants who have completed 8th grade next summer are eligible to attend ASP. All adults welcome and encouraged to attend to make this trip work for our young people.
